A manga I borrowed from my sibling, who described it as "trashy but with good art", which is the best description for it. It's pretty much anime Twilight, but released a year before Twilight. Protag I keep forgetting the name of is in a love triangle between Kaname, a pure blood vampire and Zero, a guy who hates vampires due to what happened to his family but gets the AOT treatment as he's transforming into one. I'm probably never going to read another volume of this, but I'd love it if the author illustrated someone else's manga. Her artstyle is gorgeous, but her own story is lacking.

My eyes actually began watering around the end of this. Despite the fact that I don't enjoy drawing, it motivated me to create art. Fujimoto's one shots excel at creating bods between characters and tragic moments within few pages, yet feel so realistic and poignant. It's a beautiful work, even if sad.

I read the Perfect Edition volume one, so I think I read a few more chapters than what is included in the normal volumes. As with Monster, Twentieth Century Boys doesn't bombard you with plot like some manga, but a slow build up of events which becomes the basis of the story. I've seen some people say that they found the falshbacks confusing, but I had no problem and loved the time jumps. The wild ideas of a group of children becoming real when they grow up is amazing! I'd love to read more of the series.

A very original story. Fujimoto's artwork is great and I thought it was very clever. A perfect example of something being tightly written, with things which each character says tying into what happens in the plot and how the story twists and turns. You should definitely read it if you haven't before!
